Puppy Social Visit with Adult Dogs
Your puppy will spend time with carefully selected, well-socialized adult dogs from my day school during a supervised period of their stay. This is ideal for helping young dogs learn how to interact appropriately with mature dogs in a controlled, low-pressure environment.
While peer play has its place, stable adult dogs provide more consistent and meaningful social feedback—offering calm, appropriate corrections that help puppies develop respectful behavior. Because they’re socially mature, adult dogs can teach boundaries without overwhelming or frightening a young puppy, helping prevent the kind of harsh corrections that can cause lasting trauma or social setbacks. These interactions also make it easier to assess your puppy’s true play style, since adult dogs tend to respond with clear, measured behavior—whereas peer play often becomes mutual and chaotic, masking underlying patterns like pushiness, hesitancy, or difficulty with regulation.

This service is available to puppies under 6 months of age (24 weeks), as they are still in the critical socialization period and typically display more flexible, low-risk social behavior. If your puppy is already showing behavioral challenges such as reactivity, fearfulness, or aggression toward other dogs, an evaluation and private training may be more appropriate.
